My future job

One of the topic I’ve always tried to avoid, would definitely be about jobs, not that I don’t want to have one, but being in my first year of university I don’t think I even know about all the available paths yet; choosing a specific job right know wouldn’t assure me anything, although I do think that in a few years I’d have a better idea.

Thanks to a friend, I was able to see a lot of design projects that were made by students of the university, eventually I got interested in the process behind it and basically, that’s the reason of why I decided to study the major of Design. Certainly, I already expected most of my work options as indoors due to the area itself, but because I’m still not fascinated by the idea of staying in an office all day, I’m hoping for a job that has both, indoors and outdoors, something more dynamic. However, I wouldn’t mind working someday in a university, the environment is quite pleasant and If I can contribute to it I would love to share my ideas and knowledge.

On the other hand, rather than deciding a job indoors or outdoors, I’m more interested in choosing the location of it. Because I’d like to see how others cultures work, travel to different countries and learn about it, would bring me the refreshing experience that I’m looking for; at least for a couple years, this would be my type of job.

Wild animals and pets

I’ve always appreciated animal’s company as I grew up surrounded by them, if they weren’t there all the time, I wouldn’t be half as happy as I am now; so I think I can consider myself an animal lover. Actually, in my family they are mostly cats and dogs, but my godfather have a very unusual one; a land turtle named Clarita. I live with them for about a year so I got to know Clarita better, it was very shy and pretty and I would love to take care of her someday.

Animals are so fantastic that it’s out of my understanding how people can hurt them without even think about the repercussion of that actions. What’s more, there are so many things that we don’t need to take out of its place and apparently fashion industry still doesn’t get it; to get to kill an animal just for take its fur and make it into an “elegant coat” just shows an unnecessary and irresponsible act.

Sometimes I can’t tolerate how cruel people can be, and like to picture myself as a free bird. They look so majestic while flying that I wish all birds could always go wherever they want, and I would love to be part of that too.

My childhood days

I’ve always thought that music can bring back the strongest emotions, including memories. That’s why whenever I heard music of “caporales” or “morenada” I think about the happiness I had while dancing in the carnival “con la Fuerza del Sol” which is celebrated every year in my hometown and where I spend most of my childhood.

Anyway, although I did have fun practicing outside school, the hobbies I enjoyed the most were definitely playing videogames, riding a bike with friends around the neighborhood, and once in a while, playing chess with my auntie. In fact, that reminds me of an amazing time I had after I moved on; In the very night of a rainy day, with a friend who lived in front, decided to hang out without the permission of our parents, we sneak out just to start splashing around and get all wet by the rain while having the best of the smiles. We got a cold after but still be friends until this day, so it may stay like my favorite memory.

Looking back at the days of my childhood, I realized how great and enjoyable it was, hope never forget it.

The best holidays I've had: Ilo, Peru

It was January of this year when my family and I were looking for new places to visit in Peru, and since we live in Arica, we wanted somewhere near. Just like that, the city of Ilo came in the discussion and we went right away; it was my grandfather, grandmother, auntie, and me. We spend 3 relaxing days while seeing the amazing view of the ocean and walk by the streets, also there was this big artificial wetland that took all of my attention for its amazing amount of flamingos.

I remember not been feeling well before that week, so when the time came, it definitely changed my mood, the laughs at the night and the good histories while eating, quickly became part of my most treasured memories. Those days as well, we got to see the Museum of Chiribaya, one of the best stops in the trip; there was a lot to see and learn about chiribaya’s culture, going from agricultural tools to even mommies! although I have to say the greatest part was the boat ride we took at the afternoon, the beautiful sea lions sure stole the show.

A country I would like to know: Italy

Besides being one of my favorites subjects, traveling to another country is one of the things I’m sure going to do in a future, simply because is an experience that I don’t want to miss, plus it’d help me to learn about other cultures and idioms.

If there’s a place that I would go immediately that has to be Italy, I’ve always wanted to see those beautiful photos in real life and make some sketch of its. On top of that, the architecture in the “Industrialized north” and “traditional south” would be definitely the best view.

Just by knowing that I could see the Colosseum myself it gives me so much excitement, not to mention the Iconic Tower of Pisa. Definitely wouldn’t go before having a tour by gondola in Venice and taste a delicious pizza

I’ll totally love if I have the opportunity to study in this country, and even more If I manage to work and live there for a couple years. However, I can’t say that if I go I would stay forever, there’s still plenty of bridges and streets that I’m waiting to meet.
